Mande MWC-1 ThermoWood Cold Plunge Barrel – 1 Person

The Mande MWC-1 is a 1 person cold plunge barrel with a fiberglass insert and a Scandinavian ThermoWood® exterior, handcrafted in Lithuania. It needs no electricity: fill it with cold water or ice, and it arrives fully assembled with steps and a drain valve.

How do you keep it cold without a chiller?

The MWC-1 has no chiller, so the water is as cold as what you put in: cold tap water, plus ice when you want it colder. That makes it simple and silent, and it works well next to a sauna. If you want the water held at a set temperature every day, a tub with a chiller is the better choice.

Built for outdoors

The fiberglass insert gives a smooth, easy-to-clean surface with a built-in seat. Two stainless steel bands hold the ThermoWood® staves together, and the tub stands on an impregnated, painted wooden base for protection against ground moisture. A 1" valve drains it when you change the water.

Delivery

The MWC-1 ships fully assembled by freight, curbside with a liftgate, free in the lower 48. Set it on a level, solid base near a water source.

Does it need electricity?

No. There is no pump, heater or chiller.

Is a lid included?

No. The lid in some photos is not part of the delivery.
