Sauna Accessories
Sauna accessories are the pieces you use every session: a bucket and ladle for the steam, a thermometer and timer, backrests for comfort, light, wood care and a sauna hat. We carry them from LeisureCraft, the maker of our Canadian Timber saunas, plus Narvi, Hukka and Rento from Finland. Accessories ship free with a sauna or cold plunge, or on orders of $600 or more; on their own they ship for a flat $120 in the lower 48.

Outfitting a new sauna? A package covers the basics in one order.
- Starter ($98): wooden bucket and ladle, cedar thermometer, eucalyptus essence.
- Deluxe ($327.50): the Starter set plus a cedar bottle shelf, a wall-mount sand timer and two cedar backrests.
- Supreme ($448): Narvi Black bucket, ladle, thermometer and sand timer from Finland, eucalyptus essence and two backrests.
Steam: bucket and ladle
Water on the hot stones makes the steam, or löyly. Choose the cedar bucket and ladle ($64) or the black aluminum Narvi bucket ($91.50) and ladle ($46).
Time and temperature
The Narvi Black thermometer ($82) reads in Fahrenheit. The Hukka Maininki ($129.50) shows temperature and humidity on Finnish soapstone. The Narvi sand timer ($53.50) runs 15 minutes, so no phone goes into the heat.
Comfort: backrests, headrest and floor mat
The Comfort backrest ($80) is for sitting upright, the Elite backrest ($79.50) for leaning back, and the cedar headrest ($71.50) for lying on a bench. The slatted cedar floor mat ($158) lets water drain and air flow.
Light, heater shield and firewood
SaunaGlo LED light bars (43 at $865.50, 72 at $1,024) are rated to 248°F, with a remote for the brightness. The cedar heater shield ($50) helps prevent accidental contact with an electric heater. Heating with wood? The Narvi firewood basket ($116) keeps logs by the door.
Wood care and sauna hats
Use Meldos sauna oil ($174) inside and Livos ALIS exterior oil ($196) outside. For your head, choose the wool sauna hat ($47) or the Rento cotton hat ($27). See the sauna hat guide.

What accessories does a new sauna need?
A bucket and ladle for steam, a thermometer, and something to keep time. The Starter package ($98) covers the basics; the Deluxe ($327.50) adds backrests and a timer.
Do the accessories fit any sauna?
Buckets, ladles, thermometers, timers and hats fit any traditional sauna. Check the sizes of the floor mat and backrests, read the oil labels for your wood, and use the heater shield with electric heaters only.
Where should I mount a sand timer?
Not above the heater, and no higher than 31.5 inches above the floor, as the Narvi instructions say.
Do accessories ship free?
Yes, when they ship with a sauna or cold plunge, or when your order reaches $600. Ordered on their own below $600, accessories ship for a flat $120 within the contiguous 48 states.
